THE FESTIVAL
Performers love Hamburg and they love the HBF. Every year we have had more than 120 applications.
We always make sure to choose the best artists and the largest variety of all different kinds of burlesque, as well as other artistic show-acts and performance arts.

Marlene von Steenvag
Marlene von Steenvag ist international bekannt als Deutschlands Königin des Burlesque und gilt als europäisches Pendant zu Dita von Teese. Mit ihrem Background der East 15 Acting School in London und ihrem internationalen Netzwerk an weltbekannten Künstlern, brachte sie angefangen vom kleinen Salon Kokett bis hin zum großen Festival die Burlesque Szene nach Berlin. Basierend auf dem Erfolg gründete sie folgend die Berlin Burlesque Academy und Berlin Burlesque Agency.
Max Oestersötebier
Max Oestersötebier the musical director of the award winning jazz band THE SAZERAC SWINGERS, is a prolific musician, composer, promoter, arts consultant, and event producer. Apart from touring internationally with his band, he is known as the creator of the high profile jazz and burlesque production "Sazerac Club," held annually at 4*S Hotel-Residence Klosterpforte Marienfeld. A long-time creative partner of Marlene von Steenvag, Max has been an integral part of the Berlin Burlesque Festival since 2016, supplying the house band and having accompanied a plethora of burlesque performances with live jazz music.
THE TEAM
Liu-Bohème
The Asian Ivansion of the European burlesque stage, with her Asian roots she sets the stage on fire. Provides for the burlesque offspring in the heart of Zurich and makes every flower bud blossom.
As an experienced performer, choreographer, dancer, coach, teacher and producer, she brings a lot of experience to the team and is characterized by her cultural background and brings different cultures together.
As an organizing committee member of Zurich Pride, she has been actively involved in the queer community for several years.
Eleonora Silva
Elenora Silva is a sparkling essential to the Berlin Burlesque Festival team.
On stage she captivates audiences with stories of empowerment, self-discovery, and the boundless joy of freedom.
With heart, clarity, and impressive reliability, she ensures that communication, emails, and front-of-house run smoothly behind the scenes.
Thanks to her warm presence, organizational talent, and her fluency in German, English, and Spanish Eleonora is a trusted point of contact for performers and guests alike, woh makes sure everyone feels right at home in our glittering world.
Lady White Rabbit
Lady White Rabbit is a multi-talented character, born and raised between France and the rest of the world, she traveled starting at a very young age which strongly defined her character and sense of adaptability.
She describes herself as a “lover of all things strange and beautiful” With a sharp sense of organization & team spirit she stage managed selected events worldwide with her unique softness.
